Job Description:

CARLTON DOWNTOWN is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Coordinator. The Housekeeping Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel’s guest rooms and public areas, coordinating housekeeping activities, and providing support to the housekeeping team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule daily housekeeping tasks, including room cleaning, linen changes, and public area maintenance.
  • Assign duties to housekeeping staff and ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
  • Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with quality standards.
  • Address guest requests and concerns related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
  • Train and mentor housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new housekeeping team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of room occupancy, cleaning schedules, and staff attendance.
  • Assist with special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as required.

Education and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality management is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
