Job Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at enhancing clients’ ability to perform daily activities.
- Provide interventions, including adaptive equipment recommendations and modifications to home environments, to promote client safety and independence.
- Educate clients and their families on safe practices and techniques for managing daily tasks.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet changing needs.
- Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client care and coordinate services.
- Stay updated with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy to provide the highest standard of care.
- Offer support and guidance to clients experiencing challenges related to physical or cognitive impairments.
- Advocate for clients’ needs within the healthcare system and assist with accessing community resources.
Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO).
- Experience in home care or community-based settings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment, and home modifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits.
