Job Description:
Bateel International is seeking a qualified and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors by implementing effective safety protocols and procedures. This role requires a proactive approach to safety management and excellent communication skills to enforce and promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and company standards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations.
- Liaise with government agencies and external safety consultants as required.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management and regulatory authorities.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend safety improvements.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency equipment is in good working condition.
- Promote a culture of safety through regular communication and engagement with staff.
Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably in the food and beverage or retail industry.
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
