- Prepare patients for radiographic examinations by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their safety.
- Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
- Review and evaluate developed images for quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update radiology information systems.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnoses.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to minimize exposure to radiation for patients and staff.
- Assist in the development and implementation of radiology department protocols and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with advancements in radiographic technology and techniques.
Education and Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification and registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., CAMRT).
- Proven experience as a Radiographer in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
