Job Description:
The World Health Organization (WHO) is seeking a qualified and experienced Driver to join our team in Qatar. As a Driver at WHO, you will be responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation services for WHO staff, officials, and visitors in Qatar. Job Responsibilities:
- Safely operate WHO vehicles to transport staff, officials, and visitors to designated locations in Qatar, including airports, meetings, and field visits.
- Adhere to local traffic laws, regulations, and WHO safety policies and procedures while driving, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and good condition of WHO vehicles, conducting routine inspections, and reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
- Assist with loading and unloading luggage, equipment, and supplies as needed, providing support to passengers with disabilities or special needs.
- Plan and coordinate travel routes, schedules, and logistics in consultation with supervisors and colleagues to ensure timely and efficient transportation services.
- Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and vehicle maintenance records, and submit accurate reports and logs as required.
- Provide assistance and support during emergency situations, including evacuation drills and response operations, as directed by WHO authorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support WHO’s operational activities and objectives in Qatar.
Education and Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and experience driving different types of vehicles, including sedans, SUVs, and vans.
- Defensive driving training or certification is preferred.
- Good knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and routes in Qatar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and team-oriented environment.
